Classes for children

Boo-babies | 24 to 36 months old

For their first contact with English, the littlest ones are accompanied by their parents. They develop oral understanding in a natural way by listening to the teacher while they speak and sing in English. They learn to associate words with images and objects.

Our sensory classes use games, songs and movement to help the children get used to English sounds and intonation, developing an intuitive understanding.

We incorporate elements of the Montessori and Pikler methods and use materials specifically designed for children of this age to teach language naturally through play.

Accompanied by their parents, little ones have their first adventures with the language.

Boo-kids | 3 to 5 years old

The Boo-kids course is divided into three levels and the children are grouped together by age.

In these classes they continue to play, sing and dance because that is what they enjoy the most and it is the most efficient way of learning: through positive emotions and having fun. They acquire new vocabulary and learn how to use it by having small conversations.

Classes are 100% oral and in English. Our aim is that, in these early learning years, the children practise speaking and listening.

In the last stage of the Boo-kids course we incorporate fun activities with phonics, to familiarise the children with English sounds. This will help them when learning to read and will improve their pronunciation.

Boo-Junior | 6 to 10 years old

The Boo-Junior course is divided into four levels and the children are grouped together according to their age and level of English.

They start to write in English, learn more complex songs, perform theatre plays and read books. They enrich their vocabulary and become more fluent. The class is mainly focused around speaking.

Part of the Boo-Junior course is to work on group projects that are inspiring and motivating for the children. This type of work encourages them to work together and improve their communication skills.

We use carefully selected textbooks that we have found to be most effective in developing key reading, writing and spelling skills in contexts that are meaningful for the children.

Every year we also prepare students who choose to take the Trinity College exams and the Cambridge University exams.
